Objectives ofthis role:
As a Director of Social Media at Fingerpaint, you willlead and oversee the strategic direction of both paid and organicsocial media initiatives for a diverse portfolio of clients in thepharmaceutical and health & wellness sectors. Your role willinvolve crafting innovative and thoughtful social media strategies,utilizing social listening analyses, audience research, and a deepunderstanding of the social media landscape. You will beresponsible for guiding social creative strategy, identifyingaudience targeting segments, and optimizing paid campaigns toachieve maximum impact. Collaboration with senior leadership, mediastrategists, and cross-functional teams, including creative, brandand scientific strategy, and analytics, will be essential to ensureseamless integration of social media activations within the broaderpromotional ecosystem. This position demands a strategic mindset,meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to providevisionary direction on social media best practices.
Duties andResponsibilities:
Lead the strategic planning and execution of paidand organic social media activations across key platforms includingMeta, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Pinterest. Stayabreast of the latest trends and best practices in social mediamarketing, continuously refining and evolving strategies tomaintain a competitive edge. Serve as a thought leader,representing Fingerpaint’s social media department at industryevents and in published articles, and participating in new businesspitches to showcase the agency’s expertise and innovativeapproaches. Oversee the development and implementation ofcomprehensive social media strategies (platform, content, ads,influencer) that align with overall campaign goals and drive brandengagement for patient, caregiver, and healthcare professionalaudiences. Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports,guiding their contributions and ensuring timely and accuratecompletion of deliverables. Utilize social listening tools andaudience research to gain insights into patient and HCPperspectives, identifying barriers and preferences to informactivation of promotional content and placements. Ensureexecutional excellence, management, and financial compliance forpaid social media campaigns Collaborate with brand managers andmedia strategists, creative teams, analytics, and digital strategyteams to ensure cohesive and integrated social media efforts.
Identify optimization and innovation opportunities to evolve andexpand client strategies, continuously striving for maximumeffectiveness and ROI. Oversee the preparation and contribute tothe presentation of comprehensive reports to key clients, analyzingperformance data, spend, organic performance, community growth, andproviding actionable optimization recommendations. Responsible forthe social department’s standard operating procedures and guidingthe agency’s social media standards, ensuring they are effectivelyrolled out and continuously followed by internal stakeholders.
JobRequirements:
8 years of experience in social media strategy andmanagement Proven experience in thought leadership, with a trackrecord of representing an organization at industry events,contributing to industry publications, and participating in newbusiness pitches. Proven expertise in using social platform admanagers, including certifications Demonstrated ability to craftand execute innovative social media strategies based on sociallistening, audience research, and deep knowledge of the sociallandscape. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability tointerpret performance data and develop actionable insights andoptimization recommendations. Strong leadership and mentorshipcapabilities, with experience guiding and developing junior teammembers. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with theability to articulate strategic concepts and performance results toclients and internal stakeholders. In-depth knowledge of socialmedia standards for creative assets and campaign execution.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, withmeticulous attention to detail and the ability to thoroughly QAcampaigns and deliverables. Don’t meet every single requirement?
