The Global Commercial Lead is the centralpoint accountable for global brand strategy & overall developmentand success of the brand, upon approval. The Global Commercial Leadco-chairs the Global Asset Team (“GAT”) along with the GlobalClinical Development Lead. The Global Commercial Lead will beresponsible for building and leading a U.S marketing team todeliver on global brand strategic imperatives through tacticalexecution, ensuring growth for in-line products and launchreadiness for a product for
PH-ILD/PAH.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Be responsible for global marketing strategy andexecution in collaboration with European and Japanese colleagues aswell as the U.S. marketing strategy and execution Develop globalbrand strategic imperatives to prepare and implement a robustlaunch plan, delivering on the global brand strategic imperativesWork closely with cross functional partners to ensure all aspectsof US and global launch plan are developed in timely manner, gainleadership/executive team endorsement, develop and track KPIs, andsuccessfully implement cross functionally, e.g. payerreimbursement, commercial effectiveness, operations, sales,Collaborate with colleagues where appropriate, considering theportfolio of Insmed respiratory assets. Build and lead US marketingteam that is responsible for the development and execution of USlaunch plan Explore and peruse relevant life-cycle opportunitiesfor the product, e.g. new indications and/or formulations, where itmakes business sense Along with medical affairs, will understandmedical thought leadership in the diseases, where the standard ofcare is going, the unmet needs that exist, and how Insmed can bebest positioned to provide product solutions and support to themedical community to further patient care. Lead and drive asingular global brand strategy towards successful launch acrossindications Implement, through close collaboration with regions(currently anticipated Europe and Japan) and cross functionalpartners, a global launch plan aligned to the global brandstrategic imperatives Includes elements such as positioning,strategic imperatives, value story, TPPs, & global forecastingDevelop a robust global launch plan to ensure optimized launches inINsmed markets and that efficiencies are realized where possibleCo-Chair Global Asset Team Act as the central point for asset andliaison to executive team with critical support from functionsCo-lead GAT with the Global Clinical Lead, driving overall brandstrategy including indication strategy/sequencing, TPP & protocolalignment, clinical development plan, regulatory strategy,manufacturing and supply chain etc. to ensure all indications areoptimized and that decisions are aligned. Single point of oversighton functional sub teams supported through strong program managementpartnering and operational support and communication AdditionalResponsibilities Understand the diverse skills of extended team,ensuring team members are being led most effectively based on theirabilities and styles. Collaborate with global commercialeffectiveness/operations partners to ensure alignment and sharedlessons across forecasting, insight generation and incentivecompensation Develop US and global cross-functional collaborationon key projects in conjunction with other functions. Superviselaunch activities, ensuring timelines are met and downstreamimpacts are understood and handled effectively Collaborate withFinancial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and US Leadership Team(USLT) to develop and present revenue forecasts aligned withcorporate objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 12 years of commercial (sales/marketing/fieldoperations/market access) in a biopharmaceutical company(management, sales & marketing) experience Minimum of 8 years ofleadership experience directly managing people and/or leadershipexperience leading teams, projects, programs or directing theallocation of resources Demonstrated success leading teams taskedwith launching products in the US market Track record of leadingcross functional teams with strong interpersonal and communicationsskills, and ability to influence. Ability to develop andcommunicate a clear vision aligning to corporate and commercialobjectives Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolvingorganization, adapting to changing external and internal dynamicsField sales and management experience preferred Rare disease /respiratory experience preferred Launch experience required Highlearning agility Excellent leadership ability with experience inbuilding and leading high performing teams Proficiency inunderstanding data, tools and processes Proficiency in dataanalysis and interpretation, applying insights to drive informeddecision-making. Ability to think strategically in order tocontinuously improve processes Ability to work closely with theglobal teams to understand regional variations in commercialstrategies Demonstrated leadership focused on getting resultsFamiliarity with biotech product life cycles, from developmentthrough to commercialization.
