Position Overview:

Coordinate activities to secure support from individuals, foundations and corporations. Coordinate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals to third-party entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement an annual fundraising strategy for individual and corporate supporter recruitment and development. Develop and organize new and imaginative ideas and business opportunities to increase fundraising and fund development to meet and exceed revenue goals. Establish an ongoing fundraising program to support the work of HCA. Increase the contributions of individuals and groups by building relationships and exploring new fundraising opportunities from various sources. Motivate and facilitate supporters to maximize contributions. Recruit, organize and manage volunteers to carry out various functions for fundraising events. Represent HCA at community events, radio/TV and other community settings. Track and properly document all fundraising activities and donations. Prepare grants/project proposals and progress reports as required by program contract and agreements. Search and research potential donors and foundations to identify and evaluate potential funding sources. Make initial contacts and follow-through of securing available funding along with the coordination of all optional funding opportunities. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelors’ degree public relations or related field or Minimum three years related experience in grant writing and program development.

Excellent verbal, written and active listening skills. Excellent organizational & time management skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong collaboration skills. Ability to independently initiate projects and activities. Exceptional problem solving skills, including a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to make quick and independent decisions in response to changing conditions Demonstrates energy and enthusiasm. Demonstrate appropriate/professional interpersonal skills with agency personnel and individuals in the community. Proficient with Internet Explorer; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word; and Windows Operating System.

$65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
