Job Summary:

The position of Assistant Director of Development for Campaign Communications, Engagement and Events will focus on the creation and production of all marketing materials in support of Mercy’s special events, the annual fund, and the capital campaign. Responsible for leading campaign and donor communication efforts, develop personalized materials, and manage campaign recognition efforts. This includes but is not limited to the following special events: Spirit Gala (November), Meat Raffle (March), Pickleball Tournament (April), and Golf Tournament (June).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Campaign Marketing & Communications:

    o Develop and execute the capital campaign’s integrated marketing and communications plan in alignment with institutional messaging o Write, design and coordinate campaign materials such as case statements, brochures, donor proposals, digital communications, impact reports, case for support, viewbooks, naming brochures, FAQ’s, gift proposals, etc. o Manage campaign content on the school’s website, social media platforms, and email newsletters o Manage stewardship communications, including impact reports, donor recognition, and digital thank-you campaigns. o Serve as point person for vendor relationships regarding the campaign (designers, printers, mail houses, etc.) to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables o Create customized donor presentations for the President, Vice President of Development, or Campaign Chair as needed in support of the capital campaign. o Serve as communications liaison for campaign divisions (e.g., Board, Faculty/Staff, Parents) and assist with custom donor presentations. o Create digital content and storytelling that supports campaign and annual goals, especially for alumnae and parents

    • Event Oversight o Lead planning coordination, execution, and communications efforts of all capital campaign-related events, including: o Donor cultivation receptions o Kickoff celebrations o Campaign milestone and announcement events o Groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremonies o Oversee special event including Spirit Gala, Meat Raffle and Golf Tournament
    • Donor Engagement & Stewardship o Support the donor pipeline by preparing cultivation and stewardship materials and collaborating on solicitation strategies o Develop donor recognition pieces, such as donor walls, naming plaques, and stewardship reports
    • In consultation with the Marketing/Communications Department, manage the design and production of event materials and promotions.

    Education and Work Experience Requirements:
    • College degree and five-plus years of experience in a similar role
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple projects effectively
    • Proven track record and desire to solicit sponsorships and gifts
    • Ability to effectively work with volunteers
    • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
    • Knowledge of Canva and Raiser’s Edge a plus
    Physical Requirements:
    • Position requires prolonged periods at a computer desk
    • Position requires a driver’s license, the ability to drive and to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time during events In addition to key responsibilities, the Assistant Director of Development for Capital Campaign Communications and Events will perform other duties as assigned.
    Compensation:
    • $60,000-$75,000 (salary commensurate with experience).
