Compass is seeking a creative, passionate, organized, and detail-oriented Communications Associate to support Compass’ Corporate Communications team. This role will help write and edit clear and engaging messaging internally and externally to drive engagement efforts with Compass employees and agents across multiple channels to help them stay informed and feel inspired. This position will also work closely with our communications team leaders to ensure that earned media coverage supports agents and executives in achieving their goals and aligns with the company’s mission and goals. From company-wide email announcements and talking points, to slide presentations and executive updates, you’ll work closely with a broad range of stakeholders across the company to help ensure all employees and agents have the context and clarity they need to succeed.

Role You Will:
Write and edit compelling and informative content including announcements, talking points, emails, newsletters, press releases, and presentation materials Collaborate with numerous stakeholders to coordinate messaging that supports ongoing initiatives and key business priorities Project manage inbound communications requests by creating project briefs, establishing timelines, and ensuring deliverables are properly reviewed Help maintain consistent voice and tone across all communications on behalf of senior executives Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information and translate complex ideas into clear, digestible language Collect feedback on new and ongoing communications programs to continuously improve content and execution Support live and virtual team meetings with speaker notes, scripts, or other supporting materials as needed Suggest new, creative ways to improve processes and drive efficiency of our small, high-impact team Contribute to the development of engaging content across multiple social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement Monitor and report on relevant news and develop comprehensive coverage reports on the effectiveness of external communication efforts Research real estate trends, market data, and other relevant reports to inform Compass’ position externally for executive interviews, reports, and speaking engagements
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field 1-2 years of professional experience in internal communications, marketing, PR, or a similar role Proven experience working with the media and managing press relationships preferred Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in external communications Excellent writing and editing skills with a knack for simplifying complex topics Strong attention to detail and an editorial eye for all written copy Excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities A positive, proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, and project management tools is a plus Real estate industry experience is a bonus, but not required
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is a base pay of $67,000 to $72,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location.
