Full Job Description Overview:

Alera Group is looking for a Communications Manager. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you! We are passionate about our clients’ success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.

Responsibilities:

Write and edit marketing communications content; background in insurance or financial services is a plus. Collaborate with graphic designers to initiate, review, and finalize project design work. Support Sales and Client Services teams by drafting and editing content tailored to their specific needs. Host and manage virtual webinars using platforms like Zoom and GoToWebinar. Coordinate closely with sales staff to identify project objectives and communication needs. Contribute ideas, create plans, and implement communication projects for Client Services teams. Support and manage social media initiatives, particularly on LinkedIn. Oversee regular updates and maintenance of the company website. Write proposals, including research, editing, and proofreading. Utilize social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Hootsuite. Apply working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) to marketing projects. Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in insurance marketing and communications, preferably including time in employee benefits Experience in email marketing and social media content development Event and seminar management experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe tools Familiarity with InDesign graphic design software is a plus, but not required Strong oral and written communication skills Effective time management and project management capabilities Analytical thinking and data interpretation skills High level of creativity and adaptability Strong attention to detail and deadline-oriented mindset Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach
