Lead the design, execution, and evaluation of foundation programs aimed at achieving community impact in areas that support our envisioned future to Spark a Pro-Aging Revolution through education, senior health, arts & culture, intergenerational engagement, social justice.
Work with cross-functional teams, including program staff, community organizations, and external partners, to ensure alignment with the foundation’s strategic goals and deliverables.
Manage program budgets, timelines, and reporting, ensuring all projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
Collect and analyze program data to assess impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
Produce, edit, and distribute multimedia content (videos, podcasts, documentaries, press releases, etc.) that showcases the foundation’s programs, success stories, and the individuals or communities served.
Conduct interviews with stakeholders such as beneficiaries, experts, staff members, and program leaders to create authentic and impactful content.
Use various broadcast platforms, including TV, radio, online media, and social media, to tell compelling stories about the foundation’s mission, the impact of its programs, and the lives changed through its work.
Create engaging visual materials and multimedia storytelling that resonate with diverse audiences.
Partner with the foundation’s development team to create content that supports the launch of the foundation, along with fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals, capital campaigns, and special events.
Use multimedia content to build awareness and attract potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
Develop marketing strategies for donor engagement through targeted media campaigns, including creating compelling narratives and visual content to support giving.
Prepare regular progress reports for donors and partners showcasing the results and impact of the foundation’s programs.
Act as the foundation’s spokesperson in media interviews, press conferences, and public events, communicating the foundation’s mission and key programmatic outcomes.
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, influencers, and community leaders to expand the foundation’s media presence.
Coordinate media outreach and serve as the foundation’s point of contact for media inquiries.
Organize public-facing events such as media briefings, community forums, or webinars to showcase the foundation’s impact and engage the public in the foundation’s mission.
Regularly track media coverage, engagement metrics, and donor responses to evaluate the effectiveness of communication and fundraising efforts.
Provide impact reports to foundation leadership and stakeholders to demonstrate how media and storytelling have contributed to program success and fundraising goals.
Conduct post-event analysis and audience feedback to improve future content creation and media campaigns. What do I need for this role with Garden Spot? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in communications, journalism, nonprofit management, public relations, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing foundation or nonprofit programs, ideally with a focus on community impact or social good.
Strong background in broadcast journalism, including video production, editing, and on-camera presence.
Proficiency in multimedia storytelling and familiarity with various digital media platforms (social media, podcasts, YouTube, etc.).
Excellent writing, storytelling, and editing skills.
Experience preferred in fundraising and development, including creating content for donor engagement and capital campaigns.
Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external partners.
Knowledge of fundraising platforms, CRM tools, and media analytics is a plus.
