Principal Position Summary The Director of Communications and Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy that enhances the visibility, reputation, and enrollment of Bethlehem Catholic High School (Becahi). This position supports the school’s mission and Catholic identity by ensuring clear, engaging, and consistent messaging across all internal and external platforms. The Director works closely with school leadership, faculty, alumni, and the Diocese of Allentown. DutiesResponsibilities Marketing StrategyBrand Management Develop and implement an annual marketing and communications plan to promote the school’s mission, programs, and achievements. Ensure consistent and compelling branding across all print, digital, and promotional materials. Lead advertising and promotional campaigns for enrollment, fundraising, and community engagement initiatives. Collaborate with the Admissions Office to support enrollment growth through targeted marketing and recruitment strategies. Digital and Print Communications Oversee the design, content, and maintenance of the school’s website and social media platforms. Produce and distribute regular newsletters, annual reports, press releases, brochures, and other school publications. Manage the school’s email marketing system and digital communications calendar. Media and Public Relations Serve as the primary media contact for the school and manage press relations and crisis communications in coordination with the principal. Cultivate relationships with local media and Catholic outlets to increase visibility for Becahi events, achievements, and student stories. Write and disseminate press releases and media kits. Internal Engagement Plans and facilitates internal communications with faculty, staff, students and their families to assist the principal in strategically building the leadership culture and relationships necessary to fully achieve the objectives of the school’s strategic plan. Community Engagement Support the school in building strong relationships with families, feeder schools, and other stakeholder groups. Promote and coordinate communication for events, including open houses, fundraising campaigns, and alumni events. Partner with faculty and student groups to highlight academic, athletic, faith-based, and extracurricular achievements. Alumni and Donor Communications Support Advancement efforts with the creation of fundraising collateral and donor engagement materials. Assist with storytelling and communication strategies that engage alumni and benefactors.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field; master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications and marketing, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting. Demonstrated understanding and support of Catholic education and the mission of Bethlehem Catholic High School. Excellent writing, editing, design, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in website management, social media platforms, graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and email marketing tools. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop. Must be able to talk and hear, both in person and by telephone. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by the means of spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities. Working Conditions Full-time, 7:30 am – 3:00 pm; 12-month position with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. On-site work is expected, with flexibility for off-site tasks as appropriate.
