Community Engagement Fellows:
A Community Engagement Fellowship position is intended to encourage student service learning and community engagement (SLCE) on The Citadel’s campus. It is a post-graduate position tailored specifically for a young professional with a desire and passion for service. This is a full-time hourly position (30-35 hrs. weekly) with a 10-month to a 1-year contract, with the possibility to renew if desired. Please see below for the main duties and responsibilities for this position: Collaborate with assigned community partners to facilitate community service opportunities
Manage community service events and service learning data
Provide high-quality administrative support for the Krause Center
Help with on on-campus Krause Center and college events
Support service learning classes (LDRS 211)
Work alongside students to volunteer in the community
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as education, public service, nonprofit management, leadership studies, or social sciences.
Demonstrated commitment to community service, service learning, or civic engagement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community organizations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, events, and responsibilities with attention to detail and deadlines.
Experience with event coordination, volunteer work, or administrative support (internships and student leadership roles count).
Comfortable using technology for data management and communication
A collaborative and service-minded attitude with a passion for working with college students in a leadership and mentorship role.
