Community Relations Specialist Jewish Family Services of Greater Charleston Charleston, SC 29407 Job Summary The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for performing internal and external tasks to support daily operations. Duties include answering calls, emails, coordinating services, scheduling meetings and assessments with clients for the Director of Senior Services and Case Management. Exceptional customer service delivery is expected. Additional administrative duties, interviews with clients, coordination of services with community resource agencies and assistance with additional administrative office duties as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Schedule and Coordinate services for community related events Documentation of communication and coordination of services in our case management software program Respond to all customer inquiries in a polite and timely manner Provide brief telephone interviews of potential clients with opportunities for additional follow up communication Keep detailed and accurate records of requests for service Keep detailed and accurate records of community resource agency contacts of emails and calls Coordinate calendar and transportation services for clients Transport clients to and from appointments, support groups and events using the company vehicle Perform administrative duties as required to support the mission and function of the organization Provide support to the Director of Senior Outreach and Case Management, Executive Director and Chaplain Job Qualifications Must be able to work under stress and interact with the public effectively in a professional manner 2 -3 years relevant experience in an social services environment Ability to pay close attention to detail, be flexible in a fast paced and growing organization Results drive with the ability to work with direct and indirect supervision, ability to work independently showing initiative, while seeking guidance when appropriate Ability to work on a team Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing without guidance Time management expertise to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner throughout the day Ability to keep an accurate record of required documentation Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently Proficient technology usage skills Honest and ethical team member Sense of urgency with the ability to multitask under pressure Excellent communication skills; written and verbal Strong history of punctuality Excellent interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all clients, team members and members of the greater community Proficient in Outlook; Excel, Word, Powerpoint Ability to operate computers, copiers and printers Must possess a valid
