Responsibilities:

Responsible for strategic planning and project development to support the implementation of corporate and departmental communication programs. Plans, organizes, and manages the daily operations of the Select Health of South Carolina communications department functions Provides team leadership, associate engagement, and staff development to departmental staff Manages all media inquiries to Select Health of South Carolina Oversees, develops, and controls Select Health of South Carolina’s news conferences and media releases Reviews and recommends new and creative opportunities for favorable media coverage and Select Health of South Carolina’s image Acts as liaison and spokesperson when necessary Reviews materials produced by internal departments, edits, recommends, and drafts necessary revisions Directs the production and design of all related materials and specialty productions; Develops advertising and communication strategies Identifies and manages communication vendors and contractors Monitors, evaluates, and maintains approved and existing departmental contracts Collaborates with departments in the creation of special and promotional events, seminars, programs, civic and community events, and meetings, acts as lead for internal and external communication purposes Supervises and evaluates an ongoing series of public events to maximize favorable attention for the company’s public mission Ensures all Medicaid-related materials are approved by the SC Department of Health and Human Services Conducts needs assessments, formulates and presents proposals that directly address identified needs, adhering to journalistic, public relations, and advisory standards in accordance with SH’s image ; Responsible for the production of SH’s Annual Report to the Community, assisting in the research, design, writing, and editing of the report, analyzing printing bids, and managing the printing and distribution Oversees the design and production of all audio, visual, and printed presentations and Select Health of South Carolina’s collateral materials, including materials directed to members, providers, and the general public Oversees the activities of the Editorial Review Workgroup, ensuring that Select Health of South Carolina’s materials are accurate and consistent with corporate image and marketing objectives Assist with the design, development, and implementation of awareness campaigns Monitors and analyzes monthly departmental expenditures and budget variances •A South Carolina resident is preferred •

Education/Experience:

; Bachelor’s Degree in Communications & Marketing or related field required ; Master’s Degree preferred

Requires:
