We are seeking a meticulous, detail-oriented, and highly organized individual who can effectively manage their time and balance multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a public-facing role, is engaging, extroverted, and works well as part of a team. A strong understanding of Tennessee-based nonprofits and community relations is essential, as this position has a focus on partnerships with the state. In this role, the Community Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing and implementing Team Blue volunteer projects, supporting corporate sponsorships, developing internal volunteer initiatives for employees, and reviewing and determining Community Trust grantees. This is a remote position with a typical Monday-Friday schedule, though occasional evenings, weekends, and special events are necessary. Some travel across Tennessee will also be required. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assists with planning and promoting volunteer events and sponsorship activities designed to positively impact employee engagement and/or brand reputation and company strategic goals. Reviews and activates charitable funding opportunities including engagement with community organizations, reviews grant proposals, makes funding recommendations, and processes grant distributions. Cultivates and maintains relationships with community leaders and represents BCBST to internal and external partners throughout the state. Tracks hours of volunteer engagement for recognition programs. Gathers information and key success metrics for post-event reports and analyzes data to identify ways to improve processes. Assists in developing supporting communications for internal and external audiences, i.e., articles, talking points, news releases and event sponsorship needs. Manage and produce sponsorship activities designed to positively impact brand reputation, employee engagement, and company goals. Job Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment Experience 2 years – Relevant work experience required SkillsCertifications Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to perform non-routine analytical tasks Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Effective and concise presentation skills Employees who are required to operate either a BCBST-owned vehicle or a personal or rental vehicle for company business on a routine basis• will be automatically enrolled into the BCBST Driver Safety Program.
