Compensation:

This is a new, grassroots nonprofit organization-We are looking to build our first team of passionate young Black people, eager to make an impact-a mobile movement for liberation-the old school way-connecting directly with the people, growing a genuinely supportive following. BILU wants to embark on a bold, year-long RV tour across the United States, stopping in Black population centers to spread the message, build awareness, and raise funds to fulfill our mission: to acquire land, abandoned towns, and properties to build thriving Black-owned, Black-led communities and institutions. Position:

Grassroots Speaker/MC Description:

Do you have the voice, passion, and fire to move people in the streets? As a Grassroots MC, you’ll be the face of the movement at each stop. You will be responsible for delivering powerful, informative, and compelling talks to the public, tying together Black history, politics, and economics to inspire support and donations. You’ll work closely with the content creator and social media manager to make every city count.

Requirements:

• Outgoing and confident public speaker
• Comfortable engaging crowds using microphones, speakerphones
• Strong knowledge of Black history, politics, and economics — or the drive to actively study and grow while on tour
• Experience teaching or influencing public opinion is a plus
• Work with Social Media Content Creator to produce dynamic content
• Communicate with Director to organize each work location and to request supplies, plan events, and improve impact

Compensation:

Content Creator Description:

Are you a skilled visual storyteller who would thrive on the open road? The Content Creator will document the journey from city to city—filming, editing, and posting content that engages audiences, builds trust, and drives donations. You’ll be our eye behind the lens and screen, capturing the mission in action and showing the nation what grassroots Black unity looks like.

Requirements:

• Portfolio showcasing your ability to create engaging, high-quality content
• Must be outgoing and willing to film and create regularly while traveling
• Comfortable being both behind and occasionally in front of the camera
• Consistent poster with a creative eye
• Work collaboratively with the Speaker/MC and Social Media Manager to strategize content and maximize reach

Compensation:

Position:

Social Media Manager Description:

Are you a strategist who knows how to grow online movements? As our Social Media Manager, you’ll build a powerful digital presence alongside the Content Creator and Speaker/MC. You’ll help shape the narrative, manage channels, respond to messages, and keep our followers informed and engaged.

Requirements:

• Portfolio demonstrating your ability to grow an audience and create engagement
• Experience managing social accounts across various platforms (IG, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
• Comfortable coordinating with a creative team and taking initiative to lead online strategy
• Available to engage with online audiences and answer inquiries
• Willing to work on-site during work-location stops to assist the Director with cash collection, digital donation collection, and public interaction
• Communicate effectively with Director regarding supplies, social media content, and marketing matters

Compensation:

5% of in-person/grassroots generated donations 5% of social media-generated donations 2% of recurring donations This means the bigger impact you make and the more we can grow the organization (meaning the more we are showing people we are genuine and sincere in our mission), the more you will earn.

Independent Contractor Includes:

Paid travel, food (3 meals/day), housing, and bonus perks based on fundraising milestones

Note:

Health insurance not included; affordable nomad insurance options will be provided. 🚐 The Journey This will not be a typical job. It’s a fun but mission-driven, all-in, life-on-the-road experience. When we’re not working, which in reality will be most of the time, we’ll be sightseeing, attending events, connecting with Black communities, and strengthening our own team bond. Work, fun, travel, networking, purpose, change-an all around unique experience. The RV will be made to accommodate more people than we will have, to ensure comfortability-it will be our mobile base as we travel across the country, planting the seeds for a future built for us, by us.
