Required Skills & Experience 4+ years of experience in an internal communications, employee engagement, or public relations, or a related field Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, marketing, or related field. 2+ years of experience in a lead role: overseeing team of communication personnel Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to develop creative and impactful communication materials that resonate with diverse employee groups utilizing photography, videography, editing, and graphic design skills. Ability to travel as needed for meetings, conferences, and other relevant events. This individual will lead a team of four internal communication coordinators across two different states.
Daily responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including plant managers, human resources, and C-suite, to ensure consistency in messaging, alignment with organization goals, and effective communication of key messages to all employees, formulating, executing, and overseeing communications plans that will eventually be received throughout the organization and establish communication channels and platforms that facilitate prompt, clear, and creative communication among team members. This resource will need to share updates to the external communications manager to promote on social media channels and newsletters. The lead will help share employee sentiment, engagement levels, and feedback through various means to continuously improve internal communication strategies. This information will be delivered during quarterly internal town halls.
