POSITION SUMMARY

BRIDGES USA seeks a creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented Strategic Communications Manager to lead the organization’s storytelling and marketing strategy. This role supports internal and external communications to engage youth, families, donors, partners, and community 8 stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic thinker, and project manager passionate about elevating youth voice, advancing equity, and amplifying mission-driven impact. Strategic Communications & Messaging Develop and implement a communications strategy with the development, program, and management teams. Ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment across all communications materials and messaging. Support internal communications strategies that foster staff and youth engagement and alignment. Content Creation & Editorial Oversight Collaborate with development, program, and management teams to write and edit compelling content, including newsletters, donor appeals, feature stories, impact reports, and presentations. Collaborate with development, program, and management teams to develop talking points and messaging for events and campaigns. Guide storytelling that reflects BRIDGES’ mission and amplifies the voices of youth participants. Digital Media & Website Management Manage external vendors and contractors for digital design, media outreach, photography, and video production. Oversee BRIDGES’ website content and collaborate with contractors to ensure timely updates, brand consistency, and accessibility. Manage content strategy for social media platforms in collaboration with external contractors. Use digital analytics to assess engagement and adjust strategies accordingly. Support the execution of communications campaigns tied to program recruitment, donor engagement, fundraising events, and advocacy initiatives. Maintain editorial calendars and oversee timely delivery of all communication deliverables. General Department Support Maintain project timelines and content archives. Attend BRIDGES events and support the communications needs on-site. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in communications, preferably in nonprofit, education, or public service sectors. Technical & Creative Skills Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Mailchimp, and social media platforms. Experience with website content management systems Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or basic HTML preferred. Strong editing and proofreading abilities with high attention to detail. Strategic thinker with strong planning and project management skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
