SALARY RANGE
$50,000 – $95,000 JOB SUMMARY . The Community Services Manager leads strategic outreach and engagement initiatives that elevate awareness of NOTCH’s programs and services while fostering strong community relationships. This role is responsible for developing and managing integrated marketing and communications strategies, coordinating public events, and ensuring consistent branding across digital and print platforms. The manager works closely with internal teams and external partners to promote health equity, gather community feedback, and highlight the impact of NOTCH’s work through storytelling and media engagement. This position plays a key role in shaping public perception and expanding access to community-based health and wellness resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads the development and execution of integrated marketing and communications strategies to promote NOTCH programs, services, and community initiatives. Manage consistency branding across digital and print platforms including flyers, social media, websites, press releases, and newsletters. Oversee promotional campaigns related to health programs, food access initiatives, and Main Street Market events. Coordinates with staff to gather success stories and testimonials that showcase program impact. Engages with local media, community newsletters, and public events to increase visibility and awareness of NOTCH services. Ensures that all materials are culturally appropriate, visually appealing, and meet health literacy standards. Development and oversight of NOTCH advertising, promotions, marketing, website, and social media platforms, as assigned. Serves as a liaison and official spokesperson for NOTCH. Develop and implement strategies to secure financial support through donor engagement, events, and grant applications. Maintains project expenses within approved budget. Provides information in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to the needs of the population being served. Develop community feedback platform. Assist with grant applications and reporting, as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Sensitivity to issues and barriers faced by people at risk and knowledge of or willingness to learn about health care and barriers of people with limited or no access to health foods The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Effective mentoring skills. The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies including colleagues, parents and children, service providers, and public officials. Customer service and time management skills. The ability to multitask and prioritize. Creative approaches to problem solving, self-motivated, and the ability to execute projects independently. Must possess a valid Vermont driver’s license and have access to a personal telephone and reliable, insured transportation. The availability of working some nights and weekends.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Three years in the food, healthcare, and/or marketing industry.
