Job Summary:

This position will support marketing and communications strategies for overall Port brand and core business segments through multimedia channels including print, video, website, and social media platforms. Employee will develop and execute exceptional design solutions that align with port-wide strategy and promotes the Port’s mission and values.

Essential Functions:

Create visually appealing and cohesive designs for various print and digital platforms, including magazine, newspaper and outdoor advertising, brochures, banners and displays, signage, and promotional materials, as assigned. Develop and implement online content that aligns with the Port’s communications objectives, as assigned. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Port’s website, specifically content updates, visual design modifications and functionality enhancements using the web content management system Sitefinity, as directed. Ensure website content is accurate and compliant with standards and best practices. Monitor website-related issues and coordinate with technical support teams (internal and external) to resolve them in a timely manner. Design, develop, and manage content posts to all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads and YouTube, as assigned. Work collaboratively with Port’s Communications Team and cross-functional departmental teams to develop high quality creative solutions that effectively and consistently promote the Port’s brand and messaging. Develop ideas for improving the Port’s communications effectiveness with internal and external audiences, including innovative ways to engage audiences through emerging media and graphic design. Stay informed of emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure innovative and visually compelling multimedia content. Create/assemble collateral materials and presentations for departments, as directed and needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/BA degree in Emerging/Multimedia or Graphic Design 5 to 7 years professional experience in graphic design, video production, animation, and interactive media Strong portfolio showcasing creative and diverse multimedia projects Proficiency with industry-standard design and multimedia software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or similar Experience with Mac OS/PC platforms and website content management systems, particularly Sitefinity Experience managing and organizing digital assets using cloud storage and file-sharing platforms, particularly Microsoft Teams/SharePoint, WeTransfer, and Adobe Creative Cloud for efficient collaboration and Port asset management Excellent organizational and communications skills, able to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated, detailed and time-oriented skills Strong written, verbal, and visual communications skills Effective project management skills, including the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously Certification in Digital Marketing, preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Licenses /

Certification Required:

Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days Able to secure a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Physical Requirement:

Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in an office environment. Duties include lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds).
