As the leadership phase of the campaign begins, the Division of University Advancement is accelerating the hiring of additional Alumni Engagement professionals campus-wide and is excited to build out its team. For Advancement professionals who are interested in being a part of a comprehensive campaign from the beginning for their career development, the timing is ideal to join our team. Responsibilities The Coordinator of University Advancement Communications, Philanthropic Communications provides support to the Assistant Director of University Advancement Communications, Philanthropic Communications. Assists in the development of strategic, multi-faceted communications projects designed to further the Division of University Advancement’s mission, goals and objectives, especially as related to philanthropy. Writing and Editing Write, edit and proofread a wide variety of communications materials, including portal announcements, newsletters, emails, gift agreements, scripts, one-pagers, articles, stories, press releases, invitations and a variety of campaign collateral materials in accordance with accepted stylistic standards. Focus on communications projects related to annual giving, donor relations, internal communications and development officers. Articulate key messages that advance the division’s mission and goals. Conduct interviews and research in relation to writing stories for digital and print publications. Communication Development Coordinates communications projects on behalf of the Division of University Advancement, including organizing research, obtaining necessary approvals and measuring results. Work with communications and other division staff to develop communications pieces for philanthropic and engagement initiatives. Assist with ensuring comprehensive campaign messaging is communicated as appropriate. Work primarily on projects related to annual giving, donor relations, internal communications and development officers. Perform Other Related Duties as Assigned Assist Senior Director, University Advancement Communications and Assistant Director of University Advancement Communications, Philanthropic Communications as needed. Keep abreast of fundraising, engagement and communications best practices. Research FSU constituents and initiatives to promote the university. Protect confidential information. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (

Valid FL or GA Driver’s License or the ability to obtain upon hire date Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will have excellent writing skills and professional experience utilizing AP style, management experience.
