Communications Coordinator Position Available In Pinellas, Florida

• Responsibilities:

• + Key to sharing BayCare’s story with team members and the community and is part of a team that prioritizes collaboration, flexibility and adaptation to meet BayCare’s needs.

+ Implement communications strategies to support hospitals, service lines and campaigns. + Create and support vehicles for communications initiatives including press releases, team member portal content, executive announcements, social media content, reports, meetings and events. + Interact and build positive relationships with internal customers, BayCare leaders and subject matter experts to gather information and draft content for dissemination to all audiences (public, team member, media). + Conduct media relations, including preparation of messages, materials and scripts as well as coaching, counseling and media interaction. + Assume primary responsibility for fact-checking and securing appropriate reviews and approvals for content to ensure accuracy, completeness and relevance. + Supports issues management activities. + Report on metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications efforts. + Responsible for rotating 24-hour on-call coverage of media inquiries, as assigned.

• Minimum Qualifications:

• + Required Experience is 3 years in Communications or Journalism, preferably with a health care provider, corporate department or agency. Copy Editing, Writing, Photography, Videography and Media Relations skills are also required. + Required
