As the first point of contact you play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Medical Communications Coordinator is responsible for handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing information about our dermatology services. This position requires excellent communication skills, some medical knowledge and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions Answering incoming calls in a professional manner Manage multiple phone lines simultaneously and route calls to appropriate offices Schedule and confirm medical appointments, including follow ups Assist with basic financial inquiries Provide brief overview of patient insurance Provide information about services offered and address patient inquiries Manage appointment reminders and cancellations Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate staff Other duties as assigned Education and/or Work Experience Previous experience working in a call center or healthcare customer service preferred Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities required Ability to manage time effectively Proficiency using multi phone line systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Strong attention to detail required High School Diploma or equivalent required Physical Requirements Must be able to sit for an extended period of time answering phone inquiries.
