COMMUNICATIONS LIAISON OBJECTIVE
This position assists the communication and administrative departments in a variety of tasks including public outreach, project management, digital communications, and event coordination.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of PAO outreach activities including webinars, publications, social media, and networking events Trains with the Public Service Department to answer general office and exemptions-related questions Provides tailored responses in a courteous and professional manner, thru both verbal and written communication Retrieves, sorts, and distributes incoming office mail when needed Assists with day-to-day office operations and special projects Creates and modifies internal communications content through Workbench Assists with social media content creation including posts, stories, and videos Maintains item inventory and prepares materials for upcoming events Oversees the ordering of print-branded supplies and coordinates with departments on needs Assists with the coordination of internal and external events including decorating, set-up, clean-up and scheduling Other duties or tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s Degree or equivalent. A comparable amount training and/or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualification Minimum of two (2) years of related experience A high level of professionalism and customer service-related skills Excellent project management skills to allow for timely planning, executing, and reporting on multiple projects Ability to gain knowledge of the operation, function, and scope of various county government offices Great attention to detail Flexible schedule with ability to work night and weekend events Exceptional verbal and written communications skills Proficiency with Windows based applications
