The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. Role:

The Communications Center Coordinator services as the primary point of contact for our clients/neighbors and is charged with ensuring excellence in every interaction and providing an extraordinary experience for anyone who contacts us. The individual in this role is a listener, problem solver, a rapport builder, and takes ownership for doing what’s in the best interest of our neighbors/clients.

Partner Relations What You’ll Do:

Customer Service Assists customers remotely; determines nature of problem or request and responds or directs individuals to correct resources in a timely manner. Resolves client/neighbor issues within reasonable time limits and follows up to ensure a proper resolution has been implemented. Handles inbound and outbound calls to and from customers, listening to customers’ needs or issues and provides helpful solutions to their problems. Utilizes technology to troubleshoot and document interactions. Balances compliance to procedures with sound judgment to ensure client/neighbor needs are met. Work with Microsoft Office Suite systems to create reports and schedule activity. Collaborate with business partners to ensure all issues are addressed and resolved. Participate in regularly scheduled business planning meetings. Manage records and maintain data for reporting purposes.
