Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications and Enrollment Coordinator at BARTplays a vital role in stewarding the School’s image and ensuring strongengagement with prospective and current families, donors, volunteers,and the broader community. This position coordinates internal andexternal communications, enrollment processes, and fundraisinginitiatives. The Communications and Enrollment Coordinator supportsBART’s mission by maintaining full enrollment, creating compellingcontent, and supporting community and donor engagement. TheCommunications and Enrollment Coordinator is an hourly, full-time,year-round position that reports directly to the Director ofAdvancement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all aspects of theenrollment process in alignment with DESE guidelines, while activelysupporting the growth and development of BART’s enrollment program.
- Organize and attend recruitment and enrollment events, some of whichoccur outside of normal work hours and on weekends.
- Guide prospectivefamilies through the enrollment steps, including conducting tours of thebuilding and assisting with forms and paperwork.
- Manage familycommunications, including weekly announcements.
- Maintain and updateBART’s website and social media platforms, creating content thatreflects our vibrant school community, and growing our audience.
- Contribute to the development and execution of BART’s marketing,branding, and public relations strategies to strengthen visibility andcommunity engagement.
- Assist with donor engagement, fundraisinginitiatives, and events.
- Manage enrollment and development databasesand filing systems with a focus on modernization, streamliningprocesses, and transitioning to fully digital platforms.
- Provideadministrative support to the Director of Advancement and assist withspecial projects as needed.
The ideal candidate is imaginative,detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and an excellent writer who isconfident in leveraging social media to strengthen communityconnections. They are both a strong team player and someone who can workindependently to move projects forward.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of aBachelor’s degree with a major in English, communications, or anotherwriting-intensive discipline.
- Extraordinary ability in written andoral communication and comfort speaking with a broad range ofstakeholders, including students, parents, and donors.
- Exceptionalinterpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyand adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizationalskills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work nights or weekendswhen required.
- Experience with graphic design is a plus.
- Second-language ability preferred.
- Intimate knowledge of and facilitywith social media.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Unquenchable desire tocreate and to communicate, as well as a dedication to one’s owncuriosity and learning.
