Role:
As an Internal Communications Specialist, you’ll be part of a collaborative team that helps inform and connect VU employees across the company. Your job? Coordinate processes, post messages, shape content, and help build a seamless employee experience from the inside out. You’ll be the first touchpoint for incoming requests, managing our team’s intake process with precision and care. You’ll also be the go-to person for several internal tools—and we’ll count on you to help keep our systems running smoothly. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role. This role is a unique blend of coordination, content creation, and technical know-how. You’ll post across internal channels, fine-tune messages, and own some of our most-used tools. Here’s a snapshot of what you’ll be doing: Reviewing and managing incoming requests through our team’s intake process. Posting updates and scheduling messages across Slack, SharePoint, lockscreens, digital signage, and more. Editing and organizing content. Managing and troubleshooting tools like Visix, Adobe Audition, and SharePoint. Supporting internal podcast production, VU radio, and other multimedia efforts. Working with cross-functional teams to keep messaging consistent and strategic. Learning and trying out new tools (including AI) to improve how we communicate while staying true to our values. Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

You build strong relationships and know how to collaborate across teams and departments. You’re curious about technology and not afraid to try new tools. You’re a strong communicator and an even better listener. You can move quickly without sacrificing quality. You’re open to feedback and see it as a chance to grow.
