Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support public relations, marketing and community engagement efforts.
- Assist in presentation of educational and information programs/demonstrations.
- Coordinate, write, package material for NEMEPA’s membership and employeepublications and digital resources as assigned.
- Assist in maintaining
NEMEPA, NE SPARC
website and social media channels withrelevant and timely information.
- Aid Communications and Marketing Manager in plans for fiber subscriber growth andretention.
- Grow
NE SPARC
subscriber base for businesses and maintain connection with currentbusiness subscribers.
- Assist with Youth Tour events and activities as assigned.
- Provide emergency storm support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Communications and Marketing Manager.
- Make phone calls, in-person visits, and conduct presentations to prospective subscribers.
- Keeps abreast of market trends including but not limited to product applications,technical services, competitive services, advertising, and promotions.
- Will maintain communication with business accounts ensuring their satisfaction.
- Supplies Communication and Marketing Manager with reports on customer needs,problems, competitive activities, and potential for new services.
- Submit activity and results reports, such as call logs, work plans, and activities.
- Occasional after-hours work could be required
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and offer excellentcustomer service.
- Must have computer knowledge and the ability to acquire strong knowledge ofproducts and services.
- Technical experience and abilities relating to the internet and VOIP services are a plus.
- Work experience of 1-2 years is not required but recommended.
- Must possess excellent communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to always represent oneself and the company in a professional and ethical manner.
- Ability to communicate with subscribers, co-workers, and various business contactsin a professional and courteous manner.
- Must have a warm, welcoming, and engaging personality.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments and manage projects effectively.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Represent the company at community events.
- Coachable and willingness to learn and improve communication skills.
- Must be proficient with computer skills.
- High school diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or information technology preferred.
