Overview:
We are seeking two Telecommunications Specialists to support telecom services and initiatives including WAN, LAN, VPN, and wireless environments. The specialists will handle data analysis, service coordination, reporting, and escalation management. This is a first-shift, M-F role with occasional on-call, after-hours, and weekend work , based in Raleigh, NC, with a current hybrid schedule (2 days onsite).
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and coordinate network service requests and installations using Telecom Expense Management (TEM) software.
Manage circuit order lifecycle:
installs, migrations, disconnects. Track and report daily tasks via Excel; generate metrics and reports from ServiceNow. Extract and analyze outage data, ensuring timely reporting and escalation handling. Work directly with vendors on escalations and service activations. Manage ServiceNow tickets to closure, ensuring SLA adherence. Support SD-WAN, data circuits, VPN, LAN/WAN troubleshooting. Use provisioning tools, VPN, SSH, and Putty for remote troubleshooting. Provide proactive communication to stakeholders on timelines, delays, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree + 3 years of IT/network support experience (or 5 years total experience without degree). Hands-on support of network services (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, circuits). Prior experience with ServiceNow ticketing system. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Teams) and data analysis. Strong customer service and communication skills. Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects. Hands-on knowledge of routers, switches, and modems. Prior T2 level network support preferred. Flexible for on-call and after-hours support. US Citizen or Green Card holder. Must meet Public Trust eligibility (resided in US for last 5 years, no more than 6 months travel outside US in last 5 years).
