Job Description
This role provides essential support in content development and project coordination, ensuring the successful execution of IEEE events, and communication initiatives as assigned. The Associate Event Communication & Projects Specialist manages timelines, tracks projects, and develops stakeholder communications while contributing to content creation, branding, copywriting and promotional efforts. This position reports to the Director of Event Business Operations and functions as an individual contributor.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Prior internship experience or relevant coursework in content development, marketing, or project coordination is a plus but not required.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). o Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, MS Project) is beneficial. o Strong Canva design skills for visual storytelling. o Familiarity with social media tracking and analytics is advantageous.
Soft Skills:
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
