Job Description
Social Media Manager Medicare Agents Hub Connecticut • Remote About Medicare Agents Hub Medicare Agents Hub is a premier online directory connecting Medicare-eligible individuals with licensed, local insurance professionals who can help them make informed coverage decisions. At the same time, we empower agents with a powerful suite of tools designed to amplify their visibility, streamline operations, and convert high-intent leads into lifelong clients. With a fast-growing community and a product that’s as much an ecosystem as it is a directory, we’re transforming how seniors and agents engage in the Medicare space. Role Overview We’re looking for a Social Media Marketing Manager who can lead with both creativity and autonomy. This role isn’t about waiting for direction — it’s about jumping in, assessing what’s already in motion, and confidently charting the path forward. You’ll be responsible for building and executing our social media strategy from the ground up: editing videos, designing posts, running campaigns, and managing backend workflows — all with minimal oversight. If you naturally say, “Here’s what I think we should do next,” rather than “What do you want me to work on?”, this role is for you. We want someone who takes ownership, experiments boldly, and brings structure to our fast-moving content engine. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Design Edit and produce short-form and long-form video content tailored for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. Design scroll-stopping thumbnail images and high-converting visual assets for video, stories, reels, and ads. Write compelling captions and CTAs aligned with Medicare-related content and campaigns. Community Engagement & Growth Engage authentically with our audience through comments, DMs, and community groups. Monitor trending topics and adapt messaging to stay timely and relevant in the Medicare and insurance sectors. Coordinate and share relevant user-generated content. Content Scheduling & Distribution Plan, schedule, and optimize content across all platforms using tools like Buffer, Sendible, and all native platforms. Ensure alignment of content cadence with product launches, enrollment periods, and campaign goals. Operational & Admin Workflows Manage content pipelines, including moving user submissions through review and approval workflows. Implement SOPs to streamline asset delivery, scheduling, and reporting. Track content metrics and iterate based on performance data. Team Management (Potential Future Scope) Delegate workflow-related tasks (e.g., editing, approvals, submission reviews) to junior social media staff or freelancers. Review their output and ensure brand consistency and quality. Provide onboarding and process training as needed. Ad Campaign Oversight Assist in the setup, execution, and optimization of paid ad campaigns on platforms such as Facebook and TikTok. Plan, launch, and manage paid social campaigns to drive lead generation and increase visibility during key Medicare enrollment periods. What Success Looks Like You don’t wait for tasks—you spot opportunities and pitch ideas. You audit what we’re doing now and immediately suggest better ways to engage our audience. You take ownership of the content calendar and fill it with thoughtful, strategic campaigns. You welcome feedback, but don’t rely on it to keep momentum going. You bring ideas to the table, not just execution. Skills & Experience Required 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, ideally in health, insurance, or regulated industries. Proficient with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, CapCut). Graphic design capabilities (e.g., Photoshop, Canva). Familiarity with scheduling tools and backend content management systems. Familiarity with leveraging AI for content, without sounding fake. Excellent copywriting, organizational, and project management skills. Understanding of social media analytics and reporting. Experience running successful paid ad campaigns Facebook Ad Manager and others. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and take initiative without hand-holding. Preferred Knowledge of Medicare or health insurance markets. Experience managing freelancers or junior team members. Working knowledge of compliance-related constraints in health marketing. What We Offer A chance to build something meaningful, not just maintain it Remote-first flexibility with a lean, fast-moving team Direct access to leadership and a say in how we scale Performance-based increases and room to grow as we grow The autonomy to own your role and lead with your ideas—we’ll support you, not micromanage you. A role where your content doesn’t just drive engagement—it drives careers, credibility, and real-world results for thousands of Medicare agents
