JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, manage the City of Pinellas Park’s content management systems to include website, social media accounts, and ancillary integrated technologies. Serve as coordinator between business stakeholders and digital media technologies, and project manager for the ongoing support of and development of digital media technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Computer Science or a related field. Must have three to five (3 – 5) years of recent work experience managing CMS systems, social media accounts, chatbot systems, and/or other integrated technologies. Requires being fingerprinted and successfully passing background screening. Primarily sedentary work with the occasional need to move around the office and lift/carry objects up to forty-five (45) pounds. Requires extensive use of computers, voice and electronic communications systems.
EXAMPLES OF TASKS
Leads the management of digital media content by coordinating with cross-functional teams to plan, manage, and produce content for websites, chatbot, and social media platforms. Thoroughly reviews and edits all website architecture and content elements for conciseness and accuracy. Edits content with SEO best practices in mind, ensuring the effective use of keywords, meta descriptions, and other on-page optimization elements. Ensures content is properly formatted and presented for optimal readability and user experience on various devices, and ADA compliance. Manages chatbot datasets to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of information. Manages social media accounts and sites to ensure clear, effective, and accurate information dissemination to the public. Works closely with content managers, subject matter experts, and other team members to ensure content accuracy. Communicates effectively with stakeholders regarding content publication requirements, revisions, and timelines. Serves as a member of a high-performing, cross-functional work team and assists with or assumes responsibilities as needed in all other areas of the Information Technology Department including backup support of other teams.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Google Analytics. Knowledge of different content formats (blog posts, articles, news alerts, services descriptions). Knowledge of project management principles. Knowledge of ADA compliance requirements. Knowledge of digital media archiving requirements. Skill in website content management systems (CMS) and ancillary products. Skill in SEO optimization. Skill in chatbot dataset management and training. Skill in stakeholder engagement and coordination of resources. Skill in problem identification, troubleshooting, and problem solving. Skill in verbal and written communication, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Skill in project/program management including organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships and function in a team environment. Ability to work in a highly confidential environment and exercise utmost discretion.
