They are also one of the world’s largest nonprofit photography associations that is organized to help professional photographers with over 30,000 current members in more than 50 countries.

WHO YOU ARE

This person must be a strategic, organized, and creative professional to lead content development and manage content projects across channels. This role blends the visionary aspects of a Content Strategist with the logistical and operational responsibilities of a Content Project Manager . Ideal for someone who can bridge creative storytelling with content planning, production and distribution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy (40-50%) Develop and maintain a content strategy aligned with the organization’s brand, member needs, and organizational goals. Collaborate with internal teams to identify content needs across channels (web, email, social, print, video, etc.). Define and manage content pillars, messaging frameworks, and editorial guidelines. Use member insights and SEO best practices to guide content planning. Identify gaps and opportunities in current content offerings. Content Project Management (50-60%) Create and oversee project plans, timelines, and workflows for multi-channel content campaigns. Coordinate with writers, designers, videographers, and external freelancers or agencies. Manage an editorial calendar, including content deadlines, review cycles, and publishing. Ensure content quality, consistency, and timely delivery across all platforms. Track and report on performance metrics to assess effectiveness and inform optimization.

WHAT YOU NEED

Minimum of 4 years of experience in content strategy, project management, or digital marketing. Proven experience leading multi-channel content initiatives from concept to delivery. Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects. Familiarity with tools such as Trello, Asana, Monday.com, Airtable, or similar PM platforms. Experience using Smartsheet’s Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Working knowledge of SEO, content analytics, and digital publishing. Passion for creative communities, education, or nonprofit work is a plus.

PREFERRED

Background in photography, visual arts, or adjacent creative industries. Add in familiarity with film/television/video production? Experience in a nonprofit, membership-based, or education-focused organization. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, HubSpot, or CRM systems. Writing or editing experience.
