Position Overview:
The Content Specialist, reporting directly to the President, Dover Health, will lead the development and execution of content that drives Dover Health’s brand awareness, engages audiences, and reinforces our mission to enrich lives. This role is a critical contributor to the Marketing team, shaping narratives that highlight Dover Health’s values, differentiates the company in the healthcare industry, and connect meaningfully with patients, families, and communities. The Content Specialist will craft high-impact, multi-platform content that aligns with Dover Health’s business objectives, enhances the company’s digital presence, and builds trust with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the ideation and creation of engaging content that aligns with Dover Health’s strategic goals, including but not limited to developing resident stories, thought leadership articles, email campaigns, social media posts, video, and photography. Ensure all content is consistent with brand messaging and highlights Dover Health’s mission and competitive advantages. Develop and implements a data-driven social media strategy by creating, scheduling, and publishing content via HubSpot. Foster engagement by interacting with the audience strategically, conducting social listening, and leveraging current trends in content creation. Capture and produce authentic photography and video that represents Dover Health’s patients, team members, and communities. Use these visual assets to craft emotionally impactful campaigns that build trust and confidence in Dover Health’s services. Ensure all sharing of patient and family information is done in full compliance with healthcare privacy legislation and other relevant state and federal laws. Own and maintain the content calendar, ensuring alignment with Dover Health’s corporate priorities, seasonal campaigns, and key initiatives. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all content. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to produce internal newsletters and other communication materials, ensuring consistency with corporate messaging and fostering engagement across the organization. Track social media performance using insights to refine strategies and maximize ROI. Regularly report key performance indicators (KPIs) to marketing leadership and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related fields preferred Three (3)+ years of experience in content creation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, impactful campaigns across digital channels Proficiency in content creation tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing platforms such as Premiere or Final Cut Pro is required Strong copywriting skills with an ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences, ensuring clarity, impact, and emotional resonance is required Expertise in social media platforms, engagement strategies, and analytics tools is required Experience in photography, videography, and visual storytelling for professional audiences Is required Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a focus on strategic outcomes Experience in senior living, healthcare, or a mission-driven organization is highly desirable
Working Conditions:
This position may involve a range of physical activities, including those outlined in the Essential Duties, but is not limited to them. This position may need to walk or stand for extended periods. While performing the duties of this job, the employee isoccasionally required to stand/move, communicate, and identify written information.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently. This position is primarily in-office at the Dover Health home office. The position will also require movement through the home office or other worksites of the organization. Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required for recruitment events, training events, or site visits, depending on the organization’s needs. This position involves juggling multiple projects simultaneously, which requires strong time management and organizational skills. This role involves actively participating in all staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale. The individual will contribute as a collaborative team player, working alongside colleagues to create a supportive and cohesive work environment.
