As a Multimedia Content Specialist you’ll have the opportunity to bring innovation to life, drive excellence in user experience and help set the tone for how the public and employees experience Cumberland County’s digital content. Examples of Duties Serves as the primary point of contact for all content published on the organization’s external website and internal employee Intranet, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and strategic alignment. Collaborates with County departments and leadership to plan, create, and maintain web and Intranet content, forms, and site structures that effectively support organizational goals and user needs. Oversees website operations to ensure full compliance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and ethical standards related to web presence and digital communication. Provides strategic guidance and content development recommendations to departments to ensure all web content is professional, engaging, and aligned with the organization’s mission. Partners with departments to proactively address and resolve accessibility and ADA compliance concerns, promoting inclusive and equitable digital access for all users. Monitors and enforces adherence to relevant state and federal regulations, including those concerning data security, privacy, and intellectual property, to mitigate risk and protect organizational integrity. Stays abreast of current trends, innovations, and best practices in web design and content management, integrating new approaches to continually enhance the user experience. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited two-year college or technical school with a degree in Computer Information Technology with course work in advertising and video creation or related field and three (3) years of experience managing website content and video content; or equivalent education and experience.
Managers Preference:
Experience with website editing, ADA compliance for websites and graphics, some graphic design experience Sitefinity Content Management System is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of graphic collection, processing, and editing Knowledge of website content management, analytics, design, and best practices and standards Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the organization Skilled in verbal and written communication Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and related software Ability to audit and regularly review existing website, employee Intranet, and other multimedia content to ensure information is timely and effective, reworking content as needed to improve the end user’s experience Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officials, management, department heads, and other employees
