NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Manager, Teams Content based in our Charlotte, North Caroline office. The Senior Manager, Teams Content position leads efforts to unify, elevate and distribute content across both NASCAR.com and future integrated team websites built on the NASCAR Digital Media platform. The Senior Manager plays a key part in aligning editorial priorities, streamlining collaboration and driving performance across the broader digital network. Duties include but are not limited to: Work cross-functionally with NASCAR’s internal editorial, services and platform teams, as well as directly with team representatives to maximize impact, consistency and audience reach. Act as the primary digital content point of contact within the NASCAR Digital Media group for all NASCAR teams. Consult and manage website content strategy in collaboration with NASCAR teams and the NDM site Services team. Collaborate closely with the NASCAR Services group to support team site performance, content planning/programming and rollout processes. Facilitate two-way content flow between NASCAR.com and team websites by identifying mutual storytelling opportunities, race recaps, features, multimedia content and post-event highlights. Coordinate with the NASCAR editorial team to ensure race weekend coverage and daily content are effectively packaged for team distribution. Track and communicate what content teams within the industry are publishing and strategically place that content on NASCAR.com when appropriate. Develop and maintain a cohesive content calendar that supports NASCAR.com and team sites while highlighting tentpole moments, special announcements race-week priorities. Identify opportunities for content alignment and efficiency, recommending shared content assets, templates and best practices across the network. Lead content-related onboarding, training and ongoing collaboration with team digital contacts. Monitor platform analytics, content performance, and key metrics to help teams meet shared goals across the NDM network. Contribute to long-term development of the NDM platform as a destination for team storytelling and engagement
Travel:
10%, including weekends.
Required skills / experience:
Bachelor’s degree from four (4) year college or university and seven (7) years of current experience in social media, engagement and partner management; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Fluency in Spanish preferred. Proficient on company provided hardware and software. Knowledge of social media content management and reporting platforms. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. Able to work a non-traditional work week, including nights and weekends. Excellent writing skills and social media acumen. Ability to lead and utilize strong cross-functional and inter-departmental integration and planning skills. Advanced working knowledge of all primary social media channels with an eye towards emerging trends and platforms. Proven experience developing strategy and day-to-day management of communication activities and plans. Demonstrated experience working with senior level executives. Apply Now!
