Pending OSHR Approval The DMV Digital Content Coordinator will be responsible for executing an innovative, integrated social media and web content strategy that successfully educates, informs and engages citizens and stakeholders about DMV services. This individual will be responsible for both long-term strategies and day-to-day implementation across a variety of NCDOT- and NCDMV-owned digital channels. The DMV Digital Content Coordinator will be responsible for identifying trends in social conversation and opportunities for deeper audience engagement and community building, and for measuring impact and success to expand NCDOT and NCDMV’s social media profile and ensure ongoing strategic optimization. This person will also have responsibility for maintaining fresh, accurate content on the DMV website. This employee reports directly to the DMV Communications Manager and interacts directly with the DMV Commissioner, deputy commissioners, and other senior DMV management, as well as the Transportation Secretary, N.C. Board of Transportation, deputy secretaries and the Governor’s Office. It is crucial that this employee understands and supports the goals and commitments of the NCDOT and NCDMV so these can be effectively communicated internally and externally through available mediums. The employee must have a strong working knowledge of the department’s operations and an ability to synthesize complex information so it can be understood by a variety of audiences. This position also requires the ability to balance multiple responsibilities under a tight deadline and to maintain professional working relationships with individuals both within and outside the department. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following: Experience designing and implementing successful social media campaigns
Experience with web content management systems
Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and standards for management and disclosure of public information
Demonstrated ability to edit and analyze informational materials produced by others
Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools

Additional Expectations:

This position is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. However, the duties of this employee may require extra hours during the week and weekend. Hours will vary with workload and emergency situations.
