Founded in 2016, Funny Face Bakery is NYC’s coolest pop-culture bakery, known for its meme-worthy treats that are often deemed “too pretty to eat.” This role will focus heavily on creating short-form video content for TikTok, while supporting the broader content needs across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and confident in shooting, editing, and producing content that aligns with our viral, trend-driven brand voice. Responsibilities Film, edit, and produce TikTok-first content with high engagement potential. Create supplemental video and still content for Instagram Reels, Stories, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and occasional LinkedIn or paid campaigns. Regularly photograph and film corporate orders, including client orders, custom cookies, and large-scale gifting projects, on an ad hoc basis for internal use, case studies, or social sharing. Manage weekly content scheduling, including uploading, organizing, and drafting assets for approval via Later and Trello. Proactively track TikTok trends, viral audios, emerging hashtags, editing styles, and viral moments to keep content relevant. Maintain a strong awareness of pop culture and trending news cycles, with the ability to identify and react to viral moments quickly — including day-of trend participation and fast-turnaround content creation. Run kitchen filming sessions, store visits, and team shoots as needed (DUMBO, Seaport, NoHo locations). Capture kitchen process content (piping, baking, decorating, gooey breaks) and general store b-roll. Assist with store activations, and seasonal content campaigns. Assist with basic graphic creation for stories, announcements, or memes via Canva or Adobe Suite. Qualifications 1-3 years experience producing short-form video and photo content for TikTok and Instagram. Deep understanding of TikTok trends, viral content structure, algorithm strategy, creator culture, and trending pop culture topics. Strong interest in and knowledge of current pop culture, entertainment, viral moments, celebrity news, and internet culture with the ability to quickly ideate and execute reactive content. Experience filming and editing both video and photo content on iPhone and DSLR. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, and Canva strongly preferred. Ability to organize and manage content files with consistent foldering and naming conventions. Excellent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Highly collaborative with a positive attitude — must be comfortable working on-site in kitchen, storefront, and production spaces. Flexible schedule to accommodate rare weekend or evening activations. Must be based in NYC or able to regularly work onsite. Location DUMBO production space, Seaport & NoHo retail stores, plus remote work as applicable.
