The Digital Platforms Associate is responsible for maintaining and enhancing university websites through collaboration with campus partners and teams, managing multiple digital platforms, and conducting thorough audits of sites and tools. Provides support and assistance for university websites, ensuring they align with the university’s branding and communication standards.
Manages multiple digital platforms such as WordPress CMS, broadcast email systems, campus calendar, and other digital communication tools.
Collaborates with campus partners to deliver guidance on best practices and implements technical updates or changes to their websites as needed.
Collaborates with team members to build and send emails within established processes and systems.
Performs regular audits and quality checks on the university’s flagship website (www.utk.edu) to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to branding guidelines.
Collaborates with the web development team to implement updates, resolve technical issues, and enhance the user experience.
Collaborates on development and maintenance of the university’s Web Design System documentation, onboarding, and training materials.
Conducts user testing and gathers feedback to continuously improve the website’s functionality, navigation, and content presentation.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong experience in website management, digital communications, and content management systems (CMS).
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and web design principles.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Qualifications Required:
Vocational or technical training and at least two years of professional experience directly related to the position responsibilities OR Associate or bachelor’s degree and at least one year of experience directly related to the position responsibilities, which may include internships or student employment Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment visa status. Salary The hiring range for this position is MR07. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
