Digital Content Producer / Content Center Creator Journalists fight to make our community a better place to live. We affect change and serve our community with empowering information. We use our powerful voice for good. WHBQ-TV is in search of a Content Center Creator to able to execute our enterprise journalism on all platforms. The successful candidate will craft compelling copy on television and digital platforms. You will create all components to be published on our station app, website and social media platforms. This is your chance to work with a team of experienced and difference-making journalists. Our hope is to coach and work alongside you to tell the stories that matter to our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Write accurate and clear stories for all digital platforms Craft engaging headlines and social media posts to interact with our audience Learn to transform stories to television platforms Serve our community by creating resource guides for our greatest needs Help decide and steer our editorial content Operate in the Content Center to cultivate and find new content Design digital content with excellent writing, pictures, and video Understand all factors to execute stories ethically on social media News is a 24-hour business, and schedules may vary Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University in Journalism or Communications Willingness to learn and adapt to journalism on all platforms Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Must be thoroughly professional in all aspects of journalism? Must be well read on current affairs and have a wide range of working knowledge and understanding of general interest subjects Desire to grow in your career When applying, please provide resume and writing samples.
