Assistant to wood shop Forman Sheridan Lumber Hollywood, FL 33020 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented assistant for a shop forman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in work order processing, task scheduling, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The Forman assistant will be responsible for processing paper work, reviewing receiving paperwork, and supporting the overall productivity of the team. Responsibilities Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records and documentation. Proofread documents to ensure clarity and accuracy. Provide administrative support as needed to enhance team efficiency. Coordinating with sales staff to ensure special orders are handled correctly. Experience Woodshop/Lumber Yard experience is preferred. Familiarity with Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail. Experience with data entry tasks is essential.
