Job Description

Part Time Bookstore and Ecommerce Assistant Raptis Rare Books 329 Worth Avenue, Palm Beach, FL 33480 Position Overview Raptis Rare Books is currently seeking a Bookstore/Gallery and E-commerce Assistant to join our team and assist with daily business operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word Primary duties will include shipping a high volume of packages. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding position.

Required days/hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm

Primary Responsibilities:

Report directly to the Gallery Manager to: Assist with packing and shipping of a high volume of daily shipments Answer and appropriately direct a high volume of daily phone calls Assist with client services and sales requiring the swift preparation of accompanying documentation, sales receipts, and luxury packaging Unpack and organize a high volume of daily incoming merchandise Organize, archivally prepare and shelve daily new acquisitions requiring strict adherence to standard alphabetical library classification systems Perform daily cleaning duties to maintain gallery organization and cleanliness Assist with greeting and conversing with gallery visitors

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

Assistance with social media content creation, editing, and scheduling for multiple platforms including Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. Creation of weekly blog posts spotlighting new/relevant inventory and authors

Qualifications:
Required:

High attention to detail and excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word Ability to learn and rapidly implement training and detailed business protocols Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments and projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Customer service and telephone etiquette experience Polished, professional appearance Positive attitude

Preferred:

Coursework in English, Literary Studies, History or a related subject Experience with social media content creation and posting on a variety of platforms Availability required: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Salary commensurate with qualifications and performance
