    e-Commerce eCommerce Customer Acquisition & Retention Manager The E-Commerce Customer Acquisition & Retention Manager is responsible for developing and executing the strategy behind all email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing programs, with a strong focus on personalization, segmentation, and long-term customer value.

You’ll oversee the end-to-end customer journey—from lead capture and onboarding to repeat purchase, loyalty, and win back—and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure messaging is aligned with product, site, and brand priorities. As our eCommerce Customer Acquisition & Retention Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Own the holistic strategy and execution across email and SMS marketing channels
  • Develop and execute digital strategies to acquire new customers through paid media, SEO, affiliates, and partnerships
  • Analyze acquisition channel performance to optimize spending and ROI
  • Work closely with creative and ecommerce teams to ensure messages align with product availability, promotions, and brand storytelling
  • Develop the campaign and automation calendar in alignment with product launches, promotions, and brand storytelling
  • Manage and continuously optimize lifecycle flows (welcome, cart/browse abandonment, post-purchase, win back, etc.)
  • Ensure content is on-brand, personalized, and tailored to customer lifecycle stages and behaviors
  • Optimize lead capture strategies (email popups, SMS signups, referral campaigns)
  • Oversee development and testing of welcome flows to improve conversion and onboarding
  • Lead segmentation and target efforts to deliver highly relevant content to distinct customer cohorts
  • Drive repeat purchase, reduce churn, and grow LTV through thoughtful retention strategies
  • Identify opportunities for deeper engagement via loyalty campaigns and feedback requests
  • Track and report on KPIs including open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, unsubscribe rate, and revenue per message
  • Regularly analyze performance to identify trends and areas for improvement. Report on findings regarding leadership.
  • Run A/B tests across subject lines, creative, cadence, and segmentation to maximize performance
  • Align with CX to ensure consistent messaging and seamless post-purchase experience
  • Partner with Digital Marketing Manager to ensure owned channel messaging complements broader campaign efforts
  • Own platform performance and vendor relationships (Attentive & Ometria)
  • Mentor and develop the Customer Acquisition and Retention Specialist. If you have…
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, CRM, or digital marketing with a focus on customer acquisition and retention
  • Proven success in building loyalty programs and CRM strategies
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, and personalization
  • Experience with tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Braze, or similar
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Google Analytics, or BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Looker)
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English at a proficient level.
