Purpose of the Job The Vice President of E-CommerceStrategy leads Truliant’s digital marketing and online memberengagement efforts, driving initiatives to attract, convert, andretain members through digital channels. This role optimizes theonline experience by leveraging data analysis, user experience (UX)strategies, and market research to ensure an integrated, effectivedigital presence. This position oversees and leads a teamresponsible for digital marketing, website management, ande-commerce initiatives, ensuring collaboration across IT, DataAnalytics, and Operations to align digital strategies withenterprise goals. The VP is accountable for driving conversion,member acquisition, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Develops and leadsTruliant’s digital marketing and e-commerce strategy in alignmentwith business objectives. Leads, mentors, and develops a teamfocused on digital marketing, web management, and online memberengagement. Leverages data-driven insights and performanceanalytics to optimize digital initiatives, track KPIs (keyperformance indicators) and drive continuous improvement. Enhancesmember engagement through personalized, needs-based digital contentand campaigns. Works cross-functionally with IT, Data Analytics,and Operations to ensure seamless execution of digital strategies.
Stays ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and bestpractices in digital marketing. Oversees website architecture,navigation, and UX to improve member experience and conversionrates. Leads SEO efforts and digital visibility initiatives toattract new members via organic and paid search. Guides thecreation of high-quality, engaging content tailored to differentmember segments. Manages internal content contributors and overseesgovernance within the content management system (CMS). Conductscompetitive analysis and market research to identify growthopportunities. Develops and implements strategies to increasedigital deposit and loan applications. Manages website structure,linking, and content for improved search rankings and optimization.
Oversees relationships with digital agencies and technologypartners supporting online strategy. Crafts targeted digitalmessaging based on market trends, member personas, and competitiveadvantages. Optimizes conversion funnels and digital engagementworkflows to enhance user experience. Drives business growth byincreasing online applications, membership acquisition, andengagement. Oversees Salesforce Marketing Cloud to enhance digitalcampaigns, personalization, and automation. Other Duties andResponsibilities Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have proven experiencemanaging and developing high-performing digital teams. Must haveexpertise in SEO best practices, including ranking factors, searchengine algorithms, and performance analytics, to drive conversionsand online applications. Must have proficiency in ContentManagement Systems (preferably Kentico) and other digital marketingplatforms. Must have strong knowledge of e-commerce strategies anddigital marketing automation, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Must have the ability to develop and execute digital marketingplans aligned with business objectives. Must be skilled in projectmanagement, prioritizing and executing multiple initiatives in afast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Must have aworking knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for digital contentdevelopment and optimization. Must have advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for dataanalysis and reporting. Must have excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to simplify complex digitalconcepts. Must have strong interpersonal skills, demonstratingprofessionalism, adaptability, and collaboration across all levelsof the organization. Must have an understanding of federal andstate compliance requirements related to digital marketing andadvertising. Physical Requirements Occasional standing, walking,bending, and stooping required Must be able to sit at a desk forlong periods of time and use a computer Must be able to moderatelylift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10pounds Education and Background Bachelor’s degree in BusinessAdministration, Marketing, Communications, Interactive Media, or arelated field is required; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred. 7years of related experience in website development, SEO, digitalmarketing, or a related field required. A minimum of 7 years ofmanagement experience is required, including at least 3 years in asenior management role. Experience managing site redesign projectsand determining key self-service priorities to enhance the memberexperience. Must have in-depth experience with SEO tools such asGoogle Search Console, Moz, and similar platforms. Must havein-depth experience with website analytics tools like GoogleAnalytics. Agency experience is a plus. Financial industryexperience is a plus but not required. Literacy in Spanish is aplus but not required.
