Energy Market Analyst Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Primary Services is looking for a detail-oriented Energy Market Analyst to support operational and financial decision-making through research, reporting, and process improvements. Working under the guidance of senior analysts and supervisors, this role involves hands-on responsibility for trade entry, daily reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is looking to grow in a data-driven, energy-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Enter trades into the SOX application and execute end-of-day reports and recaps Monitor and verify trading positions, daily Value at Risk (VaR), and other risk metrics Reconcile broker and external statements related to transactions Provide daily Profit and Loss (P&L) and pricing reports to management Process Electronic Funds Sources (EFS) and other financial clearing transactions Collaborate with IT to support and enhance the trade capture platform Develop and deliver ad hoc reports using SQL and Power BI Create and automate Excel-based reports using macros

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred; related coursework in finance, business, or data analytics a plus 1+ year of relevant experience in business operations, trade support, or risk analysis preferred Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and macros Experience with SQL and Power BI for reporting and data visualization Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical mindset Ability to follow standard procedures while identifying process improvement opportunities Want to be notified of similar positions?
