We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sales Planner/Analyst to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growth and success.
Position Overview:
The Sales Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting sales data to support our sales strategies and objectives. This role involves a deep understanding of sales metrics, market trends, and consumer behavior. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively, while working independently and managing multiple assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Data Analysis:
Gather, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Provide actionable insights to enhance sales performance.
Reporting:
Prepare and present regular sales reports and dashboards for management and sales teams. Highlight key metrics, variances, and trends.
Forecasting:
Assist in developing sales forecasts based on historical data, market analysis, and business goals. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align forecasts with strategic plans.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, market conditions, and competitive landscape. Provide insights to support sales strategies.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor sales performance against targets and KPIs. Identify areas of improvement and recommend corrective actions.
Promotional Analysis:
Evaluate the effectiveness of sales promotions and marketing campaigns. Provide insights to optimize future promotional activities. Create sales promotions and input into customer portals.
Data Management:
Ensure accuracy and integrity of sales data. Maintain and update sales databases and systems as required.
Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure cohesive execution of sales plans. Other tasks and assignments as they arise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in sales analysis, business analysis, or a related role, preferably within the CPG industry. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. Working knowledge of syndicated data, ie, Circana/IRI and / or Nielsen. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems is a plus. Travel from time to time.
