Job Summary:
The Global Product Specialist – IIoT will play a key role in supporting the strategic growth and development of our Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) product line. This position will work closely with the Global Product Managers and the Product Line Director to drive marketing initiatives, execute sales strategies, and support product development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in industrial controls, automation, or IIoT solutions—or experience in industrial sales with a deep understanding of IIoT applications. This role will require cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, customer support, and operations teams to ensure the IIoT product portfolio meets market needs and achieves revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
Product & Market Strategy Develop and execute global marketing and sales strategies to drive adoption and sales growth of the IIoT product line. Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to define product positioning, pricing, and differentiation strategies. Support the Product Line Director in identifying new growth opportunities and recommending product roadmap enhancements. Monitor industry trends and customer needs to develop strategic business cases for new IIoT solutions. Sales & Channel Support Collaborate with global sales teams to implement go-to-market plans and provide technical marketing support. Develop sales enablement materials, including presentations and application notes. Conduct training sessions for internal sales teams, distributors, and end-users on IIoT product capabilities and value propositions. Work with key customers to gather feedback, improve product adoption, and identify case study opportunities. Product Development & Launch Work with R D, engineering, and product management teams to define product specifications based on market needs. Assist in planning and executing new product introductions (NPIs), ensuring alignment between marketing, sales, and technical teams. Lead and support pilot programs, beta testing, and field trials to validate new IIoT solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the key liaison between marketing, sales, engineering, and customer support to ensure IIoT product success. Build and manage relationships with external technology partners, distributors, and industry organizations. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote IIoT solutions and expand market presence. Applications and Customer Enablement Guide customers on applications related to IIoT and how AWC products can be utilized Assist customers in the setup and commission of their IIoT system, supporting installation, sensor and gateway configuration, cloud setup and operation Provide on-site training after installation to enable customers to use the new solution Complexity of Duties Works under general supervision. Familiarity with and application of classical marketing theories, concepts and techniques. Familiarity with strategic and tactical activities associated with marketing. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Capability to provide an effective level of communication with management, customers and field sales. Education and/or Experience Preferred candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Controls, Industrial Automation, Business, or a related field and MBA / Masters of Marketing preferred. 2-4 years of experience in working with IIOT, remote monitoring, electronic controls, industrial automation, with a mix of technical and marketing/sales expertise. Fluency in English required. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese a plus Other Skills and Abilities Results oriented Strong computer skills. Up to 25% global travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and internal team collaboration. Targeted pay range:
$80,000 – $90,000/yr Chesterton is committed to paying all its employees in a fair and equitable manner. The pay range associated with this position ($80,000 – $90,000/yr DOE) is Chesterton’s good-faith salary estimate for the presently available position. Several roles at Chesterton are considered “leveled” positions and as such, the company reserves the right to advertise and or hire for this position at appropriate level depending on applicant’s skillset/experience.
