Job Description

Head of Consumer Insights York, ME
Description We are seeking a strategic, data driven and experienced Consumer Insights professional to build and lead the Stonewall Kitchen Consumer Insights function, including understanding consumer behavior, preferences, and trends, driving better business decisions and results. This role will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing consumer data, and providing actionable insight; as well as working closely with Marketing and Sales to deliver on brand and business objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in research methodologies, data analysis and storytelling to influencer key stakeholders and provide guidance to make decisions in complex situations.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Map out annual consumer insights needs alongside Brand and Customer teams to ensure we prioritize consumer insights to address the most important business needs and decisions.
  • Partner with Brand leads to deliver insights-informed Brand Positioning, guardrails, and strategies to drive business growth and brand awareness, trial and household penetrations.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research to understand consumer behavior, needs and market trends to address business questions and drive strategy and decisions.
  • Analyze data from surveys, focus groups, social listening and other consumer feedback, and third-party sources to generate meaningful insights.
  • Develop reports and presentations that translate data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for brand teams, product development and sales.
  • Collaborate across the organization to drive consumer-centric thinking, supporting the Brand team in understanding consumer target, category purchase drivers and brand health; as well as supporting Sales and Customer teams in delivering category insights and consumer trends as part of selling materials.
  • Contribute to front end innovation and new item development with Product Development, Brand and Sales, by understanding market trends, consumer need states, purchase drivers and competitive performance.
  • Manage relationships with research vendors and agencies and ensure high quality, cost-effective insights projects.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging research methodologies, and competitive intelligence.
  • Advocate for a consumer-first mindset within the organization, ensuring that the consumer has a voice, and decisions are driven by deep consumer understanding. Requirements
  • Minimum BS in Business / Marketing, Masters degree nice to have.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in consumer insights, CPG Food and Beverage preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of and proven experience in research methodologies including survey design, data analysis and segmentation.
  • Experience with survey platforms like Qualtrics, Survey Monkey or Google Forms.
  • Experience leading focus groups, shopalongs, and in-home interviews a plus.
  • Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience with cross functional teams and managing external agencies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills Salary Description
