Job Description
Are you adept at research and analyzing data? Our Labor Market Analyst will serve within the Labor Market Information (LMI) division and collect, compile, analyze, present, and disseminate Occupational Employment Statistics for the state and sub-state areas in accordance with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) guidelines. Key Responsibilities
The Labor Market Analyst will:
Occupational Employment and Wage Data Editing and Coding
Verify employment discrepancies and parent-child relations.
Review occupational titles and wage data.
Contact employers for data verification or solicitation.
Review final BLS estimates for adjustments.
Review and correct Quality Assurance edits generated by Occupation and Wage Data Network (OWDN) System.
Research, review, and update assigned addresses and telephone numbers.
Analyze and interpret data using various statistical and mathematical techniques.
Prepare and present reports communicating the results of data analysis.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree and professional experience involving the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of quantified data.
Knowledge of methods of research design, data collection, data manipulation, data analysis and presentation of information; knowledge of applicable computer software products.
Additional Requirements
Position requires overnight travel and may require employee to work evenings and weekends. Other duties as required.
