Altec, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated Copywriter to join our dynamic team in Birmingham, AL. This pivotal role involves a broad range of responsibilities designed to drive our marketing efforts to new heights. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and editing copy for a variety of marketing content, both internal and external. This role requires a motivated individual with strong attention to detail, versatile writing style and a collaborative approach. Primary Responsibilities Write, edit, and proofread content for internal and external communications, including press releases, blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and marketing materials.
Assist in managing the editorial calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and content is aligned with strategic goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging consistency across platforms. maintain and update the company and intranet with fresh content.
Support the creation of presentations, reports, and other communication materials as needed.
Conduct research to support content development and identify industry trends.
Participate in brainstorming sessions for content ideas and marketing campaigns.
All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

Industry knowledge, preferred and
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field preferred, or
7 years applicable experience, or
6 years applicable experience with at least 2 years Altec experience
Strong writing and research skills
Proficiency in AP Style
Some travel up to 25% may be required
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
