Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced—and friendly—financial planning office by assisting in daily business operations. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in managing and organizing office workflow with an emphasis on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities. This role provides administrative support through interacting directly with clients to ensure accurate meeting scheduling. The role will also perform other practice management tasks relating to marketing. Responsibilities and Time Allocation – Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor. Position will be full time for the appropriate candidate.
Position Functions:
50% Client Care
- Be the main point of contact for incoming calls during business hours
- Assist in maintaining client management system
- Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of client meetings in alignment with the designated service frequency
- Act as main mail and check log associate
- Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the financial advisor(s) and associate financial advisor(s) 50% Marketing
- Manage Social Media programs
- Manage advisor and team websites
- Oversee client texting program
- Assist in coordinating client events and gifts
- Oversee compliance requirements in terms of gifts and events
- Coordinate client appreciation events and seminar Key Traits of a Successful Administrative/Marketing Assistant
- Social Media Experience
- General marketing experience
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication with clients, advisors and team members
- Effective and efficient time management
- Polite and clear phone manner

Education and Other Designations:
- High School degree or higher
