OVERVIEW
Boca West Country Club is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Assistant to join our Communications & Marketing department. This role is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about communication, branding and member engagement. The Communications Assistant will support the development and execution of internal and external communications strategies, helping to promote the club’s events, services and community initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with providing effective and engaging photos, video and written content to the Director of Communications for Facebook, Twitter, and our public and private websites in a timely fashion. Assists with the maintenance and enhancement of these sites. Serves as department liaison for members needing technical assistance with website or social media channels, whether in person, via phone or email. Participates in a wide variety of special projects as required. Maintains a positive rapport with members, co-workers and management at all times. Assists with maintaining and updating all closed-circuit television equipment, digital signage and software. Assists with the creation of all internal marketing for different departments, flyers, posters, email blasts, closed circuit television and digital signage slides.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and
TRAINING
- Demonstrated creative and storytelling skills. Photography and videography experience a plus.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud products including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro (or similar video editing program).
- The ability to work independently or with a group.
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work with members, co-workers and others in a courteous, professional manner.
- Must have the ability to provide vision, think critically, solve problems and build trust in our brand.
- Prior experience in a hospitality, club, or similar environment is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferably in Communications or Marketing or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in a club environment.
