Assistant Marketing Manager Confidential Atlanta, GA 30318 • Hybrid work Job Summary The Assistant Marketing Manager will work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies that support our programs and initiatives. As part of our collaborative team, you will play a key role in content creation, digital marketing, community outreach, and enhancing the visibility of our organization. This position requires a proactive and flexible approach, with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines and event needs.
Duties Marketing Strategy & Execution:
Support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns that promote key programs, events, and organizational initiatives. Assist with the development of digital and print marketing materials, ensuring they align with the organization’s mission. Help create and manage content storytelling and scheduling and delivery to ensure timely and consistent messaging across all channels.
Digital Marketing & Social Media:
Support the management of social media channels (Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), including posting, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries. Assist in creating and sending email campaigns, including newsletters, fundraising appeals, event invitations, and producing event recap decks. Assist with paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads), including tracking, reporting, and suggesting optimizations.
Community Outreach & Engagement:
Help build and maintain relationships with community organizations, partners, and influencers to amplify the organization’s reach and impact. Support the planning and promotion of community events, from logistics to post-event follow-up. Track and report the effectiveness of outreach efforts, including measuring engagement metrics and campaign success.
Branding & Content Creation:
Ensure that marketing materials maintain consistent branding and messaging that reflects the organization’s values. Assist in developing engaging content, such as blog posts, social media copy, and promotional materials. Support the creation of visuals and marketing assets, collaborating with graphic designers as needed or using tools like Canva.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Track marketing metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, and campaign performance, providing insights to improve future strategies. Assist in conducting research to inform marketing tactics and help the organization stay competitive in its sector. Support surveys and feedback tools to gather input from donors, partners, and the community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Advertising or related degrees. Strong proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media management, and content creation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content. Excellent in using the Microsoft suite of tools. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Expertise in using Adobe Suites of tools, Canva Pro, email marketing platforms, video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, etc.) Social media management platforms (HootSuite, Sprout Social, etc.) Strong expertise in the creation of graphic designs, video storytelling, etc. This role requires 30% travel.
